ECSN Webinar: Durability & Sustainability: Europe’s Next Steps Forward

February 26 @ 10:00 - 16:00 CET

Welcome to the 5th ECSN Webinar

Durability & Sustainability: Europe’s Next Steps Forward

This webinar is organized by the European Concrete Societies Network (ECSN)

📅 26 February 2026
10:00–16:00 CET
🎥 Live from Oslo – broadcast directly from the Tekna Studio

Join us for a dynamic full-day webinar exploring how Europe is strengthening the future of its built environment while accelerating the transition to low-carbon materials. Featuring experts, real-world cases, and industry insights, this event is designed for anyone working with concrete, construction, infrastructure, or sustainability.

What to Expect

🔹 Part 1 — Durability of Concrete Structures

Europe’s infrastructure is aging—and the need to preserve, strengthen, and repair existing concrete structures is important. In this session, leading experts will share the latest research, challenges, and practical approaches to extending service life and improving resilience.

🔹 Part 2 — Scaling Up Industrial Decarbonization

Cement and concrete producers across Europe are adopting next-generation materials, technologies, and processes to cut emissions. This session brings together the whole concrete sector to discuss what’s working, what’s next, and how the sector is progressing toward carbon neutrality.

Moderators: Cecilie Hagby – Chair of ECSN & Managing Director of the Norwegian Concrete Association and Børge Johannes Wigum – Former Chair of Icelandic Concrete Association.
